In one sentence: HEKAYA Stats is a personal Android app that reads the public numbers and comments of its author's own posts, keeps them on its author's own phone, and sends nothing anywhere else.
Who this covers
HEKAYA Stats has exactly one user: its author, who owns the YouTube channel, Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts and TikTok accounts it reads. It is not published in any app store, is not offered to anyone else, and has no way for anyone else to sign in.
What data it handles
- Read-only access to the author's own YouTube channel (Google sign-in with read-only scopes), a YouTube Data API key restricted to this app, and read-only Facebook Page tokens for the author's own Pages and linked Instagram accounts.
- Statistics of the author's own posts — views, likes, comments, shares, followers — read from each platform, or typed / imported by the author for TikTok.
- Comments left on the author's own posts — the commenter's public display name, the text and the time, as the platform shows them publicly — so the author can read and answer them. They are shown only to the author, on the author's phone.
It does not post, edit or delete anything, does not read any other person's account, and has no analytics, advertising or tracking of its own.
Where that data lives
On the author's phone only: numbers and comments in the app's private database, access tokens and the API key in the phone's Keystore-backed secure storage. Nothing is sent to a server of our own, because there is none, and nothing is shared with any third party. The app talks only to the platforms' own APIs (Google/YouTube and Meta).
Google user data
HEKAYA Stats' use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube data is used only to show the author the statistics and comments of the author's own videos. It is never transferred, never used for advertising, and never read by anyone but the author.
The app uses YouTube API Services. By authorising it you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies to Google's handling of your data.
Retention and revoking access
Data stays on the phone until the author deletes it: Settings → "Delete everything" removes every number, comment, token and key and revokes the Google grant; uninstalling the app removes it all as well. Access can also be revoked at any time at Google account permissions or in each platform's own settings.
